I just made my third exit. Here is what it taught me about building alone.
Blushush is the third company I've let go of. Here is what the three taught me, and where my time goes now.

Some news first. I have exited Blushush.
Blushush is the London studio I co-founded with Sahil Gandhi in 2025. We built brands and Webflow websites for founders. It keeps running, and I'm proud of what we made there.
This is my third exit. People ask me how it feels. Honestly? Lighter.
I have built teams of two. I have built a team of 75. I never raised a rupee from an investor. So I know what it costs to scale a dream company: the hiring you can't afford yet, the cash that comes in late, and the days when everything waits on you.
Most founders carry that alone. I did too, for years.
That's why my next move isn't another agency. It's Solo Not Small, an initiative for solopreneurs, solo founders and small business owners. I'll come to it. First, the three exits.
The official announcement, with the fact sheet, is in the announcement on bhaviksarkhedi.com.
Three exits
Three doors I walked out of. Open any one.
Each exit taught me something. Together they explain what I'm building next.
Dad of Ad was my advertising agency. I sold it in 2021.
That was my first exit. I learned that a business can outgrow its founder. It did better with an owner who could give it everything.
It gave me my first real lesson in letting go.
What it gave me
Selling something you built is hard. Letting go of it is harder. I learned to do both.
I started Write Right in 2016. Two people. No outside money.
It grew to 75. We worked with clients across the world. I was proud of it every single day.
But a team of 75 needs you every day. Your mornings go. Your nights go. I sold it in 2023, with its sister companies.
Selling it gave me money. More than the money, it gave me my time back.
What it gave me
A team of 75 needs a founder who is present every single day. Growth costs you your hours first.
I co-founded Blushush with Sahil Gandhi in 2025. A London studio for brands and Webflow websites.
We built good work there, and Blushush keeps running. I'm proud of it.
In October 2026 I exited. That made three.
Next, I'm going all in on Solo Not Small.
What it gave me
I don't need a bigger team to do bigger work. I need better systems, and more time for the work I love.
Twelve years, in two charts
My years went into teams. The world is going solo.
Left: where my working life went, from my own record. Right: how fast one-person businesses grew in three countries.
The coral bar is where my time goes now.
Source: my own LinkedIn profile dates. The writing jobs ran alongside Write Right until late 2019.
Every country here is going the same way. More people are building alone.
Calculated from the counts in Forbes, 24 Oct 2026: US 2012 to 2023, UK 2010 to 2023, Australia 2011 to 2025/26.
What I'd hand you
Six things I'd tell any solo founder. Tap a card.
I learned each of these the expensive way, inside a company. You can have them for free.
Then and now
The same jobs. Without the team of 75.
Here is how the work I used to hand to a team gets done today, by one person with the right systems.
| The job | With a team | Alone, today |
|---|---|---|
| Research before a call | Someone on the team | A Claude system that reads their site first |
| Posts and articles | A content team | My notes, my first draft, AI to shape it |
| Proposals | Days of back and forth | Out the same day, from my call notes |
| Website pages | Weeks of waiting | Written and live in an afternoon |
| Being found on Google | Left to chance | One home on the web, the same facts everywhere |
Who's writing this
You can check me before you trust me.
I'm a serial entrepreneur and a best-selling author of 21+ books. My work has been featured in The New York Times and Forbes. I sit on the Fast Company Executive Board. And Google shows a verified Knowledge Panel for my name.
I've worked with 1,200+ clients in 25+ countries. Some of them wrote about it.
What's next
Here's the thing. Every exit gave me my time back.
And every time, I spent that time the same way. Helping someone build.
I have always wanted to help solo founders. The person doing sales in the morning, delivery in the afternoon and invoices at midnight. I've been that person.
The numbers say there are a lot of us. Forbes reported this week that US one-person businesses grew from 22.7 million to 30.4 million. And a Forbes Business Council piece put it plainly: the one-person company has arrived.
So that's where I'm going all in. Solo Not Small. Ten lessons. One system per job, built in Claude. So you can run a real business alone, and still have a life.
Learn AI. But also live.
The full mission, and why I care this much, is in this letter to solo founders. If you like numbers, read the data version.

Questions
What people have asked me this week.
What are you doing after Blushush?
I'm going all in on Solo Not Small, the initiative I have wanted to build for years. Blushush keeps running from London.
Is this really your third exit?
Yes. Dad of Ad in 2021, Write Right in 2023 and Blushush in 2026. I bootstrapped all three.
Did you ever raise money?
No. Every company I built ran on what clients paid. That is also why I understand what a solo founder carries.
What is Solo Not Small?
An initiative for solopreneurs, solo founders and small business owners. Ten lessons, one system per job, built in Claude, so one person can run a real business and still have a life.
Are you still doing personal branding work?
Yes. I still help founders get found on Google and AI. Solo Not Small is where most of my time goes now.
Where can I read the official announcement?
It is on bhaviksarkhedi.com/blushush-exit/, with the fact sheet and the timeline.
